Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

when I talked to my hubby the other day, he asked me if I received his letter yet so I'm guessing he got a chance to write. I've been stalking the mail man too. I'm all the way in Hawaii so it would definitely get to me a few days after you guys. He said he will be calling Sunday, but I think it all depends how well their DIV does throughout the week so it's not always a guarantee! This weekend would mark his 3rd week there so I'm hoping and praying for that phone call!

I think if we use it to help find each other, black might be rather hard to spot. We might need something brighter. But any color would be fine with me!
