My son's PIR is 10/31/14. Would love to chat with other moms that have kids in Div 821.

Yay!! That makes me very happy. Feeling adrift in the Navy 4 Mom's ocean. Good to know you all plan on staying with this. All I can say about today is ugh! It was first day back to work and while I truly appreciate the 'hey, how was it seeing your son?' questions, it was hard to keep it together, put on that happy face and and not breakdown.

Good to know about shipping things - I'll definitely be holding onto some of his things I would've shipped and waiting until we have those weekend visits - we're only 2.5 hours away so it's not a bad drive for us either and really a good reason to get out of town for the weekend.

Wisc Mom..why say goodbye..we all will be together for awhile..Pre Buds and then in Jan to CA for BUDS...
You cna't get rid of us that easily!!
My son is telling others to send there stuff to my house and I will drive it to the base..only because i sent him something on 9/20 by UPS, it was signed for but no one has seen it since...so I will only send letters, I will drive all other items..
You can't leave us, we will be creating a new "group" as soon as we get our new number...
Love you all!!!

Hi All...hard day today. Coming down from the high if PIR and spending time with my boy. He's Pre-Buds so just moving across the street on Tuesday. We stored his cell and some civi cloths at The Lock And Go (awesome, by the way) so hopefully we'll get to speak with him before the end of the week. I don't know about y'all but this weekend went way too fast and there just didn't seem to be enough time. Hard going past his bedroom (again) and realizing that he's an adult and his life is moving forward, which means things will no longer be as they were. Missing those family dinner moments and having all my kids in the house and the noise and mess that follows. Never thought I'd be missing the mess, but yes, I am. Now just waiting to see what's next in Pre-Buds and when he'll actually go to Buds in California. Feel a bit lost, and really don't want to say bye to you ladies. I"ve enjoyed our 821 group here. It's been a good ride. Thanks again for all the support.

It was great to be at graduation! My husband and his 2 brothers were there, and we all loved seeing our Sailor! We had a nice time just hangin' out at the hotel, going to the mall, eating out, and just being able to talk. Wish I could see him again soon! It is so hard saying goodbye. My son bought me a key chain that said: "Navy Mom: Toughest job in the Navy" I think he really enjoyed being able to by gifts for all of his family members, and I love the portraits of him!!

Thank you, Navymom1992(Div 4 821) for offering to help in any way possible. My son is also in prebuds and it is comforting to know there is someone so helpful neerby should anyone need it.

It was so, so cool to be at PIR this past weekend. Very proud of 821!! Had such a good time with my son. We had a nice balance of going places and just hanging out at the hotel. Wish all safe travels home.

My son said (prebuds) he is moving across the street, into dorm like rooms. They should be able to have lap tops and cell phones once they are there.
(don't quote me)
Just remember all of you...I am in ILLINOIS so if any of your 821 boys need anything quickly....just hollar it is about 1 hour drive for me, I would be willing to help anyway possible...Love you all!

It was a great weekend, very very proud of him. He looks so good and really happy. But it was so hard to say goodbye again, I know it will be much longer till I can see him again this time. But at least when he gets to CA he will be able have his cell. He is anxious to get started.

Just saw my son for the last time until I don't know when. I was so proud of all of them this weekend; it was a wonderful thing to watch. And the time spent with my son was priceless. I don't think I have heard him talk so much in YEARS. LOL.
Anyone out there know the link for an air crew group?
