My son's PIR is 10/31/14. Would love to chat with other moms that have kids in Div 821.

Thanks MelGal, I have heard that their BC is much more intense to get them
ready for the next level of training. What is your son contracted to?
You were saying he already knew he would be G & G before he left? How
did he know that? I guess I will find out when my son is able to write. I can't
wait to get that first letter.

HI all, My son is also this ship and div. It's good to chat with other mom's in the same group.
Wisconsin mom, When I got the box, I couldn't find the battery either, and yep,
there it was in his shoe. I'm guessing they made them take it off the phone.
I received the form letter yesterday, so excited for him.
His comments ( in 3 short lines) were "Having a great time so far, my RDC's are intense but I like them" That is soo funny, how in the world can you have a GREAT TIME in BC?!
But actually I knew he would, he has been wanting this for so long now.
I was really sad when he left, but now I am just so excited for him because he
is happy. Has anyone made hotel reservvations yet, I guessing I better do that
ASAP. We are driving from PA which is about 12 hrs.

oops- after reading a few posts, I have now checked his shoes and wa-laa! The battery is now found. Still missing a phone charger but that's minor. I should have known to search the N4M site and it would have my answer. Also, my husband unpacked the 'kid in the box' and in typical guy fashion, didnt check pockets or the shoes. Crisis averted. Now I anxiously await his first real letter.

Hi!
My son is also Ship 4 Div 821. Welcome ladies!! I received his box yesterday and first letter. What a great day. I do have one question that I'm hoping one of you may know something about. His cell phone came back minus the charger. I have since gone and bought a new one only to discover upon plugging it in that the battery is missing from the phone as well. Is this typical? I'm not sure why personal photographs would have been sent home but cell phone battery and charger would not. Any words of wisdom?

thanks much.
