Got the call. He was VERY tired and not chatty. That's okay, only a couple more days and we can give him a big hug. Congrats to all our Sailors!!

So if my son called yesterday before battle stations he'll call again today?

Congrats on the Hall of Fame status. Even though I have no right to ask, if ya'll think about it, and if the opportunity presents itself, can you please include the color guard in your pics of PIR and post them here. My son is going to be the color guard commander and holding the US flag. I would really appreciate it.

My son also said that they scored a 4.95 so they are in line to get Hall of Fame, but that it is not over yet. He said they could do a compartment search at any time, and if they blow that then the could still not get the Hall of Fame. Not likely, but still a possibility.

I have made some signs for my car and to hold up during PIR...just so he can see me in the crowd. My son also said one of our guys got a academic excellence award!!
