My son is in his 4th wk in BC and has been to medical since 1st week for diarrhea has been in separation now for 7 days and had colonoscopy, told he had colitis (which is a symptoms of irritation of colon not a diagnosis) and also another procedure to rule out Crohns.. He has been put on medication for Ulcerative Colitis which he does not have!! Still having diarrhea...I think if might be c-diff from a antibiotic he took about 2 wks before leaving for BC...but I am not sure if they tested for it and are not treating that now.....Question: without a definitive diag do they still separate them? and what would his separation code be?

this is a ridiculous site...no help whatsoever !!!!
First of all, this seems to be a genuine medical issue so were you expecting a (different) diagnosis online??? Secondly, none of us on here would know what his sep code would be we could only speculate based on others past, shared experiences so you are asking a question that no one can answer for you. Lastly, this is a support site and not a site where you can get legal or medical counsel, just plain good ol' support and advice. The veteran moms on here, as well as everyone else, do their best to ensure that this is not a "ridiculous" site and we are all here for everyone to lean on. I'm sorry that you are frustrated and I will hope and pray that he (and you!) get his answers soon and hopefully not be separated from BC but please don't give up hope on this site as we are all here for one another and I hope you don't give up hope on us just yet.
Sorry that no one has answered your questions. I think the reason why is that no one has a specific answer to your question. My guess and it is just that, is that based upon what I have read, they can separate him for any reason, they may or may not have the correct diagnosis. I would think that he would get a RE Code that would allow him to reenist, but he would have to get additional waivers. One for being separated and one for whatever illness or medical reason that they separated him. My understanding is that only a small percentage of those who try to reenlist are accepted.
