Well Seansmom, in answer to your question, I believe a person can actually do 500 push ups, but its definitely not me. Im with you, I cant even do ten! I do know my son can do 200 pushups, but thats because he and his brother stayed in a lot of trouble growing up and pushups were the punishment. I didnt get to ask him how long it takes to do 500 pushups!

Colleen, he just said he was afraid about passing it because they havent heard all the details of what its about, just a final test. He said they hadnt heard of a date either. He said they were doing firefighting this week and he was excited about that. I dont know how they are graded on battlestations, just that they have to work as a team. Monica thanks for the ino on those print outs- they are great arent they? Well all, have a great night, got to get to work!

hey ladies, here is something to print out and send your son about battlestations. Seeming as they are worried about passing it. A great read! I think it will ease their minds a bit, although it will be tough, they wont be scared of the unknown.

I just got my call from Dereck. 5 minutes! He sounded good, a little more grown up in the "responsible" sounding way. Said he had to do 500 pushups last night for saying "oh hell." He said it just slipped out, but glad the others didnt have to do pushups too. We talked about graduation and battlestations. The boys are all worried about failing battlestations, and that was about it, time to go. Was a really nice thing to hear his voice. I was shaking inside when I saw that 847 number on the caller ID!!!!!

Monica, yes I did use the ones off of this site. I actually got so much information back from them, thru all of the chicken scratch around each question. Instead of circling a letter, he added other stuff to it and rated each letter option. Colleen, I thought the documents we are talking about were in the "new moms stop here" group, but I am unable to find them again. I believe I also saw the link in the "top ten lines from bootcamp" group. I will keep looking. If any of you ladies know where the link is can you please post it? Colleen you will love these fill in the blank and multiple choice letters!

I got one of those fill in the blanks letters back from Dereck. His answers were hilarious! I would suggest that you guys send one out.

Oh that would be so terrible to be set back two weeks! It seems that all of the divisions are having problems working as a team. Not just ours. And like that article said, they shouldnt start getting it together until around week 4. Just pray they do. My son said he gets to carry a rifle for the performances, so.....

Sean'smom you are right. My son said something about there isnt a place to sit down. They write all of their letters on the floor and do all of their classes on the floor. He said more than anything he wants to take a long hot bath, just so he can lay there.

Colleen, I agree with you, I am so proud of our boys! It is so nice to know that they are taking everything seriously and excelling at everything. My son never studied or took school too seriously so it is great to see that change in him. This was his choice, I was against it, but I support him in his decision. Sad they are all grown up!

wow just got a call from Derecks recruiter. He had to call her for some information and asked that she call me and tell me that he misses and loves me. also, that he was getting his wisdom teeth out when everyone got to make calls, so he didnt get to make his call and didnt know if he would get another chance to call. It was nice to know that someone heard from him. She said he sounded good and his spirits were high. He has been sacrificing his letter writing time to make more time for studying and for me not to be upset if we dont hear from him very much. Also he will be going to Groton Conn. for school after boot camp.
