FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

it really is. i know they all share each others letters doesnt matter what you wrote, and they have fun together thats all i got from him. i had to specifically ask about peter. mike is his section leader

Hi 289, WOW, i slept like the dead. And woke up with a smile. Know what I mean? Hey, BM3..... my hubby sent me an envelope cover with the names of his buddies on it, for the second letter and the first name on it is Pieter, : )). My husband is from Germany.

boymom3 on the phone we talked about peter.lol kinda like peter writing you about us. so the big part is over now i have to pack and get some real cleaning done.

Boymom3--I am so relieved to know Pieter is your son!! I was afraid it would be someone who isn't even online with us lol This is wonderful news!! I am glad he and Jake are friends!! It will be good to meet you at PIR--I look forward to it!! =)

I'm about to lock everything up at work and go home to facebook to let everyone know about Jake's calll!!!
I am so happy to be among a group of people who can relate to how very important this day has been--I will most definitely stick around to encourage and support the next groups!! =) HOOYAH!!! ( I almost type YAHOO everytime hahahaha)
