Thanks Angie. I plan on it. I just pray that the hurricane goes a different direction or dies out. I don't think a hurricane will keep me away. Ethan said they have to have their sea bags packed just in case they have to leave. They will send them to Georgia.

Carolyn...tickets are usually cheaper on Tues and Wed...also call each ariline to check to see if they have a better price for military.

Kim....Pensacola base if beautiful... have a wonderful time! My older sailor was there.

I tried to bid on tickets on Priceline.com for my trip to Pensacola this week and I'm a cheapo so I didn't get the price I wanted but that is something to try. I've used Travelocity before also. I hope something can happen for you. I will get to spend a few days with Ethan this weekend. I am so excited. I've only seen him for 3 hours since July 13th and then I had to share him lol

That's great Carolyn. The sooner he starts the sooner he finishes. Will he get to go home for the holidays?

Thank you all! You guys have been great friends. He wants to tell everybody so you are the only ones I can tell and I so appreciate you. I can't wait to see where all these young men end up. I'm counting down the days til I leave for Pensacola.

He's suppose to graduate around November 30th. He gets to come home on his way to San Diego. He's going to call his recruiter and see if he can work with him so he can stay more days and it won't count against his leave. We not sure about what will happen for Christmas because he doesn't have a base right now to ask leave from so he will have to wait til he gets out there which will be the middle of December. I think that is the way it is working anyway. I know more but still don't know anything lol We have visited San Diego when we went to see Shannon and his family after he came back from deployment. That's when Ethan started to think about the Navy. He is really happy which makes me happy!

Ethan called today and they picked their orders. He will be going to San Diego to work on helicopters. He is so excited and said he was so happy with his pick. I am so proud of him and I praise God for another part of this journey.

Tammy, That is a long school. I think once Ethan gets to his next base then it is alot of hands on stuff that he has to learn. He does better with that anyway. I don't know about Christmas because most everyone has already put in for it by now but because he doesn't know where he is going he can't put in for it. I'm sure that will be one of the main things he does as soon as he gets where he is going. He would love to be home for Christmas or at least by the 21st cuz that is Addie's birthday. At least you know where your sailor will be for the next few months. I'm going to a Meet n Greet with other Oklahoma Moms that live in this area (kinda, cuz I still have to drive an hour) They are nice ladies but you all will always be my special moms. Take care and I'll let you know where Ethan is going as soon as I know.

That's great Tammy. It should go by fast for him now. How long is his school.

I'm leaving to see Ethan on the 12th and will get back on the 17th. 906 miles one way. I bet it won't take as long to get there as it will to get back. I've only seen him for 3 hours since July 13th and then I had to share him with 3 other people, so this time he is all mine unless Addie gets to go. He is suppose to graduate around the 30th. He is suppose to pick his orders today so I am on pins and needles to find out where he will be. Everyone have a great day.
