Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

I'm back. No phone call for me either. I did receive a letter though. It seems that after graduation Ethan will have about 3 hours to spend with us before he leaves for A school. He gave me a list of things to bring so that he would have them. Which included his phone, charger, 2 watches and his wrist GPS and some civilian clothes for when he can wear them. I just want to cry. Actually I am but I have to suck it up before he calls.

I agree, Anna. Our recruiter has told us that all along. He tells us all the time about DPRs and recruits he has sent to boot camp that have no idea of a support system like we have for Wade. He knew Wade would do just fine because of his strong support system back home. Speaking of, I need to call and update the guys since he's been so good to us. Another person to add to the prayer group wouldn't help either.

Can you imagine what today would be like if we didn't have each other (this whole week for that). I feel sorry for the other mothers who haven't found us.

Chicago Dogs - that sure sounds great.

OMG! They are the ones who got all the privileges the weekend before that our boys didn't get. Interesting.

Perfect - they'll have a great time. Especially Thursday night because they will have each other to hang with around all of us gushing mothers. LOL

Yes, 7.1 pounds has us laughing.

Help me Loree. What is a slip and slide party?

One funny in the letter - he put on 7.1 pounds so we aren't going to recognize him. LOL

They are going to have so much fun, Tammy. How old is your other son again?
Comment by Tamme on September 3, 2009 at 1:25pm
Exactly, Anna. That's "beating" the parents which we definitely don't deserve.
