Thanks so much, Tammy, for reposting the meet and greet. Wade's recruiter is awesome. He spent two hours with us for dinner one night before Wade enlisted, came and spent a few hours at his graduation party and came to see us at our house after Wade left. He has called to check on me and I went to his office to share Wade's letters with him. He has really enjoyed that and has even used them to talk to his DEPRs still waiting to get a date. He even told my boss's son (who just left for Navy OCR last week) that he was going to be at my daughter's wedding because he is "family." We definitely couldn't ask for a better recruiter. He was a Marine and is spending the last couple years as a Navy Recruiter before his retirement.

No letter for us today - last week it was the day after Leah so hopefully we will get it tomorrow.

Thanks I'm glad to meet you all too! Fill me in on the meet and greet please. Our flight doesn't make it to Chicago til 5 pm so I'm not sure what out plans are of as yet. A friend's son joined several years ago and she told me that they had something the night before graduation on base, does anyone know of that

Tammy, the recruiter gave it to Wade when he first visited him. Welcome, Ethan's Mom. I'm so glad you found us. Please look at the meet and greet we have planned. Can't wait to meet you and to tell Wade in my letter tonight that you have joined us.

Yes, My oldest son, my daughter and Ethan's 8 month old daughter are coming with me. We have plans to stay until Monday. Of course we made those plans before we found out he would graduate and go. Now he thinks he will leave on Saturday. I recently quit my job to take care of his daughter while her mom is in college and now I have time to get on here. I was so excited to see that there is a place for us all to visit. I'm just sad that I just found it. I should've listened to the recruiter. lol

Thanks, Leah. My husband was just watching the boot camp DVD again last night and we were wondering about the flags. Awesome job.

Trevor has no idea how much he's made my day. Of course, that gas chamber word again. The pit in the stomach and lots of Hail Mary's.

Alright, Leah. Thanks so much for sharing. Made my day. Could you tell what day he wrote the letter?
Comment by Tamme on August 26, 2009 at 10:47am
My husband just called to see if any of you had received letters. We are all feeling it. Back to the unknown feeling again. But they definitely are in the busiest time of the whole camp I believe.
