Hi everyone!! I am back after spending 2 days on #1 Sailors ship (aka Tiger cruise) and the weekend in DC...We flew home together and is now spending quality time with his dad doin "man things" LOL he will leave thurs to drive his car back to Norfolk.

While I was gone we got 2 letters...it was a relief to get them...my hubby read them to me and I did cry some...He had a tendonidous in his ankles and was on light limited duty for a few days. but he did say they are feeling better.
Let me just say doing this the second time around makes it easier in some ways and harder in others mostly because I know what to expect and what happens...a curse and a blessing.

Sounds like we are all starting to recieve letters...they should start coming on a regular basis and even day...with my first sailor Wed was mail day at my house...I would get off work and run to the mail box to see if there was a letter!!

One thing to remember everyone is this: All your emotions and feelings are normal and we all have felt them to one degree or another.

5 1/2 weeks to go!! soon we will be counting days!!

I told Wade to keep a log every night if he could so he didn't have to write long letters. He took my advice and each day he snuck time in to write us a short letter. He as well passed his swimmer qualification. It really sounds also like they have a division full of guys with a sense of humor. I will write more when I am not so busy here at work. All of you will enjoy some of the things he wrote.

TammyP, We got eight letters yesterday from Wade. I cried and laughed. The touching thing was his twin brother insisted on reading me all the letters instead of letting me read them. It was wonderful to watch the concern and pride he felt while reading his brother's letters. He also immediately wrote back last night. Anyway, I think your son and mine are bunkmates. I know we aren't supposed to use last names. So please e-mail me privately at tsuggs@hsblawfirm.com

Tammy, also Wendy's son Blake had decided two years ago to join and had been a DEPR I believe for over a year. So he has wanted this for a long time. I truly hope the Navy, since they have him for a couple more weeks, is working with him to make the transition easier. They hopefully will have some sound advice for his future.

Please keep Wendy in your prayers. She received a call from her son Blake last night. They are medically discharging him because he was having nosebleeds and not sleeping. They discovered he had asthma. She and, of course, Blake are very broken hearted. She also said it could take weeks before they send him home. This is such a rollercoaster. I felt so much better yesterday after Tammy heard from Josh and today we receive bad news. I am so glad we have each other to help us through this. My heart breaks for Blake as well as his fellow division members who are losing him.

Tammy, you don't know how much better that makes me feel. Thank you so much. I was having a very hard time yesterday and your blog this morning lifted my spirits.

That is wonderful, TammyP. I am so envious. I was so hoping all weekend to get a call. Did he say he was enjoying his division? Just knowing you heard his voice makes me feel better.

Wanted to let you that I will be gone for week...I going on a Tiger Cruise...which basically is this...My #1sailor's carrier has been deployed for 5 months and they are on there way back...They will be stopping in Jacsonville floridia and I and 1200 friends and family members will board the ship for two days on Its way back to Norflok where it is based....so any way I get to live on the ship with my sailor and see how he lives and be on the ship when it pulls into port.
Have fabulous week and I hope you all get letters this week!!

Hugs~Angie
