Anna, Chris will be in my prayers!

Tammy, woo hoo for Josh!

Ethan went back out to sea for some more training and returned to SD yesterday. Not sure when the big deployment is but it will be soon. I am going to miss hearing his voice. He can talk on the phone, sometimes but only if he waits in line for an hour or so and I just don't see that happening. lol We do have email. I am very thankful for our technology. Can you just imagine waiting weeks or months for a letter and then writing one back and then waiting again for the answers to your questions. I applaud any Military mom who had to do it that way!

Please pray for my Shannon. Those of you at the meet and greet will remember him. He was the Navy guy with us. His sister was killed in a car accident yesterday. She was only about 23. He tried to get here in time but they called him as he was getting on the plane that she had passed away. His mom is taking it really hard. They were very close.

That was a great night and so exciting to be a few hours away from hugging our boys! The friendship and support throughout all of boot camp will never be forgotten.

So glad to hear from all of you. With all the graduation parties we are attending right now, it brings back all the memories of last year and getting ready for this new Navy life. I will never forget how much all of you helped me through all of it and continue to. Looks like I will be doing it again when Willie leaves in November. Wade is already warning me not to "talk" so much on this site when Willie goes. They know I won't be able to resist that. They will never understand how much we Moms mean to each other. Wade is also so worried about the fact that Willie will be at boot through Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. I wish things would slow down so I could communicate with all of you more often. I always have all of you and your sailors on my mind. Happy Birthday to Chris, Ethan and Josh.

Happy birthday to Joshua!!! Ethan celebrated his 20th away from us also on the 23rd. He had misplaced his phone and got no phone calls from anyone. Found it the next day and said he had lots of messages and texts. I was upset that I din't get to talk to him more than he was. It's just another first of many holidays that he misses with us. So far it has been Thanksgiving, Addie's 1st birthday, Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day and he will miss Father's Day, July 4th and all the rest for this year. We just celebrate when we see him. All rolled up into one.

Chris, enjoy Michael for those weeks!

Anna, Ethan is doing good. He is trying to make planes captain before the big cruise. He is doing training somewhere that isn't California. lol I can't say where. I got a call from Addie's mom just out of the blue last week and was able to go get her and bring her home for a couple days. It was wonderful having her here and she is so smart and hasn't forgotten where anything is! haha Of course when I took her back she wouldn't get down and wouldn't go to her mother so that was a little awkward since the boyfriends mom was there and didn't look well for the mother. Addie cried when I turned to leave. I just pray that she doesn't hold that against me and not let me see her. Ethan gets to come home in July and I am going out to visit him before he leaves on his cruise.

Tamme, the comment of your other son wanting to join and maybe do the same job as his brother speaks volumes on the respect he must have for him. That is just awesome. I know he is disappointed about the Coast Guard, he told me all about what he wanted to do the night of the Meet n Greet before PIR, but God works things out the way He wants them to be. Praying for your son.

I read Ethan's letters a few weeks ago also. I haven't gotten to talk to him in awhile. I did get a couple emails but none since last Thursday. I did repaint his room and moved my sewing up there but it will always be his room.

Carolyn, great that you were able to talk to your sailor.

I am sorry I have been so busy and not able to correspond. I think of all of you all the time. I was looking at Wade's letters from bootcamp a couple of nights ago and, again, thanked God I had you all for support. His brother is thinking about going into the Navy now since the Coast Guard is not hiring. I hate to see him take such a career change but it looks like they aren't hiring for another two years. He passed the Nuke test which would be nice since the Nuke school is here for a couple of years but I'm not sure their is a job he would really like in that career. He is thinking about Corpsman like Wade.

Wade has been able to go to Boston with a friend stationed with him and his Chief took a few of them one day to see some of the sights. He hasn't been to the Big Apple yet. His leave was cancelled last week so he wasn't able to join us for vacation or come home. He enjoys his job at the clinic and is playing on the softball team. Hope all of you are doing well and get to see all your Sailors soon.
