OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

my boyfriend wrote my mom, and he gave very specific instructions on what he wanted to do for Valentine's day. :)

It really scares me to hear that 26 recruits from another division did not pass their PFA. I hope they make the recruit call home if their PIR is delayed. I am afraid my son would be ashamed to call, so I hope they make them. Not that I don't have confidence in him, I am just worried!

My son has never shot a gun and never been around them so this will all be new to him.

Yes, please share any details! My son's letters consist of him telling me how much he likes to get mail and how many days he has left and how homesick he is. He is funny throughout so he still has his sense of humor so it can't be that bad!
