Good morning to all, Well now that I have caught up with the comments. Shellie I am also sending prayers up for Zac that his knee will be healed and strong. No phone calls sence the one 40 min one a few weeks ago. I do get a letter each week. These next two weeks will be warrior weeks weapon training, fire fighting, damage control then preparing for battle stations. I imagine there will be shorter letters if we get them. Hopefully we all will hear one way or another. We haven't made any plans for the weekend, waiting until we know what Adam wants to do and if he has watch duty, Which if he does we can visit at the base as far as I have read. 18 days , 17 days I like to count from when we will be leaving because I know that means we are really going! Once my foot is on that plane mann can't wait!!!!! Well I am praying for a great week for everyone with letters and phone calls and for thoes of us who don't get any an inner peace that tells us everything is ok with our sailors and lots of friends to vent with!! Hope to see ya all soon , Hugs Janeen

I'm not glad that none of us didn't get a call yesterday.....but I'm glad I wasn't the only one who didn't hear from their kid/spouse. Funny how it makes you feel better, even in a bad situation, to know that you aren't alone.

Hi Shanon, I am sending not just prayers but thanking God that Dustin is healed and well on is way to recovery. I don't know if this will help but one of Adams best friends has her guy in Marine boot camp also. He got pnemonia and strep throat at the same time. They dosed him with antibiotics and with in a week was doing incredibly better, same with my daughter she had it 2 weeks ago and after a week on meds was well onher way to health. They don't kick them out for getting sick, a delay in PIR may be possible of course but we will pray that thatis not the case. Hang in there hun, I am so sorry you are going thru this. Love and hugs to you and your family!

Shannon,
So sorry to hear about the pneumonia. But never fear, one thing the navy does is take care of its own. That includes you too Toots. I know it feels impossible to not have him home to care for him yourself. But know that all of you are in our prayers and he is being lifted up for healing. Hang in there and keep the faith sister.

Hi Everyone, Sorry its been so long. Welcome to all the new members I haven't met yet . 73 members! Well I sure hope we have name tags I will never remember everyones name. Its maybe letter day today hope the news about my guy is better on the couple of things he is dealing with. He didn't seem at all phased by it but mom was LOL. After all I will always want to make things better thats what moms do. And of course everyone else who has family there wants them to all be healthy and happy. 22 days thats less than 3 weeks not to mention my vacation starts in 2 weeks and three days. After 56 weeks of work am more than ready.....
Its so funny I keep talking about what I am learning to my ex marine son who is with us for a while and he say yea been there done that lol well its new to me to really see what they are doing and how differant it is from Marine boot camp. And that was back in 91 I was so busy with 4 out of 6 kids left at home Now there are no kids left so its totally differant. Like a in shock feeling that won't go away. OK Venting again.. So I hope this finds eveyone doing ok. I saw a post about how quiet it has gotten here I think we all are in a hold pattern so to speek? Love the videos about boot camp !! Well will let ya know if I get a letter later on today now that I took up all the space! Hugs to all

Well got a shorter letter today seems he has a teeth grinding problem and may have to have root canals on his front teeth? Thats new to me! Also a shaving rash on his neck so bad has to go to medical to get a shaving chit and med so he only has to shave every three days, he is so blond it wont show anyway. Says besides the bad stuff things are fine can't wait till PIR and being able to be in touch with the outside world.

As for the packets I did get mine last week. Its up to the recruits to fill them out and mail them, I was impressed Adam did it so quickley but of course it would depend on when they get theirs and who is in charge of passing them out. Everything is a team effort in everyway it seems. Bigs hugs to you all and hope to chat later

Evening LAdies and Morning to all you Easterners, I am still walking on air from my phone call, Adam seems so calm and ready for whatever is comming. Oh and he is not in charge of the Irons anymore. He got pushed up to dental yeoman , he goes to the dentist every day and gets all the appts for his division then distributes them to the recruits. Now he only has to get up once a night to Iron. He said they got their dress uniforms yesterday winter blues and dress whites. They will be wearing the dress white for PIR he said. He was told they are getting new Uniforms in Oct. He said food was better than he exspected but its not real flavorfull. Wants to be kept up on the USAs progress in the Olymics. Well I am beat see ya ll tomorrow! Hugs to all
