Haha Becky, I'm not sure what is up with the "stach", and not sure about the facial hair thing.  I do know however that Jennifer told him to shave before he comes home LOL

My son finally got his orders, he's headed to a Frigate in San Diego.  He still hopes to get back home by next week but said he won't know until the day before.  I can't wait to pick him up at the airport!

Kathleenq, Chris is also land based so there's somethings you asked about that I sadly do not know.  I do know that they are "usually" gone for 6 months (give or take a couple weeks).  Chris is on deployment now (and once before), he suspends his cell service so he doesn't have to pay while he is gone.  Somehow however he can still skype by using his phone??? Something like that, I'm sure your son can figure that part out (kids are better at that stuff lol).  And they can email depending on where they are and the service they get.  I know there's other moms in this group that know more about ships.  I hope I was a little help:)

And welcome to the group, I hope your son likes his new job, Chris loves it!!
