And yes to all of you kind moms, I am VERY proud, every time I look at those pics there's a huge tug in my heart:)

Right now he's in Qatar, he was in Africa when he got the award.  But he's stationed in Jax, FL and hates it!  In Mar or Apr they are going to VA

@Proudflamom, Chris was able to come home for Christmas.  I believe the school closes for a few days.....I'm not sure but if I remember correctly he arrived in Merridian right around this time of year (4 years ago)

@ proudflamom - Did you join the group Sailors attending A school in Meridian, Missippi yet? I can't answere the question about Christmas, I believe some of the A schools close for a few days.  It seems like most of these other on this page are veteran N4M so maybe one of them can help but once your son gets there he will be able to call or text you.

@ Lisa-Chris's Mom those are great pictures, where is your son stationed?

@Beckym - Thanks for the warm welcome.

Welcom proudflamom, my son had his PIR 10/7/2011, he is in Meridian now, has 4 more modules to complete.  Hoping he will graduate A school by next Friday and then he has to wait on his orders, we are hoping he will get them soon enough so he can fly home by Thanksgiving since he will not be here for Thanksgiving.

Becky, good news and bad news about your sons delay in leaving, the bad is, the sooner he leaves, the sooner he gets back.  But the longer he's here, the longer you have him.  Time will go by fast either way:)

I will be staying with Chris and Jen for 5 days when he gets home.  And tomorrow is Jacob's birthday, and he's been walking for over a month:)  I will surely get tons of pics

As Chris's deployment is nearing an end, I have been after him every email to please send me a pic of him at work or something of the sort as most "Moms" have posted.  So the other night I got these in an email........"Here you go, I'm not at work but in uniform receiving an award".........What the heck???  He got it a couple of months ago and never said anything!!!  Why is it so hard for them to inform their mothers of important things like this!!!  He replied, it wasn't that big of a deal.  He did the same thing when he got the Naval/Marine whatever it is 2 years ago, grrrr.

But very happy for him LOL
