FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

my sailor is stationed at NAS lemoore in Lemoore ca. Hes been there since march of 09. Glad you have heard from your son, BC was hard for me. lap400 and luvn will you guys come to chicago for PIR???  Lisa you know the Navy LOVES Chris!!! :)6 months is a long time to be gone from Jacob and Jennifer.....

to beckym - I've had one phone call and numerous letters from my son.  he's ship 09 div 191.  Where is your SR?  He graduates June 3rd then goes to Meridien for A school.

My son leaves for A school (in MS) next Friday (graduates Thursday). Is anyone else's family member heading there at that time?

Hi Becky, Chris is looking at prob 6 + mos for some reason he is picked to go early to set up, I keep thinking its a good thing;). I think they like him, I know I do lol. He's sad tho to leave his lil family. Thank goodness Jennifer can't go now after having Jacob:)

I've received several letters from my husband. He recently wrote that his A School has been changed form 8 weeks to 6 weeks. Hoping for another (longer) phone call soon! :)

Lynda congrats to your son!!!   Welcome lap400us. Have you or eightsont the move heard from you sailors from BC yet???Lisa you are a BAD mother....lol how could you forget that??? Guess we let it slide this time, so many things to remember!!! LOL Sorry that Chris is going out again!!! :( Hope it won't be to long this time... Navy wife how is your husband doing????

My husband will be in Meridian in mid-June too, right after BC :)

My son will be starting his Navy career as an LS.  He will be in Meridien the middle of June.  Anyone else going there about that time?
