Hope all is well with everyone, enjoying my last few days with my son. Glad that Arron made it home safe. Enjoy your time Lynda!! Happy New Year everyone!!!
Becki, so sorry about your Mom........on the bright side A school is self taught so hopefully he can put his brains to work and get the heck out of there sooner rather than later:)
thanks for the input.... I cant wait for him to get that close... if he cant leave I will be going shopping at that Mall every weekend... but the main reason I was asking is because my mom found out she has cancer about 3 weeks before he left for boot camp and is having treatment in Houston at MD Anderson, and I really hope he will be able to come home on some of the weekends without having to use his leave.. he is planning a wedding and has to save his leave for that.. alot for him to have on his plate..lol but he is a very strong SR so I am sure he will be able to handle it all....
Thanks for your answers this site is awsome......
And you are prob right about leaving the base LOL you seem to know a lot more than me about it haha. If that's the case Becki I would make the drive in a heartbeat:)
Becky I wish we did live closer too, that would be fun!!! The baby is doing well (I'm assuming you mean Alex the lil one in the hosp?) She came home on Thurs and is eating and keeping it ALL down horray!! They were in for a week. Chris and Jacob are doing great too. He is getting really big....
Enjoy your son!!
Welcome to our group Becki with and i...:) LOL I am going to say no on the leave. If I remember right they can't go more tha 100 miles away on leave. Anyone else have an answer. I think it is a few weeks of phases before they can put on civies too. Lisa so sweet of you to help me kkep count on my days. Whay can't you live closer to me so we could hang out. How is the baby doing? Hope all is well!!!
Becki Welcome!! And good question...........I would say probably, but I'm not 100% sure. Chris was also in Merridian, and I do know that they can leave the base because there is a mall nearby (and that's about it LOL) and I know Chris used to go there just for something to do. A few of them would chip in for a cab:) So if they can do that I'm guessing they can leave for a weekend????
BeckyM now it's 5 days!!! Lucky you, I am so very jealous of all of you that have your sailors home for Christmas. Enjoy your time:)
hello everyone.... I am new to this group My son will be leaving the GL on the 11th of Jan. to go to Mississippi.... lots of questions.... main question is we live 350 miles from the base will he be able to come home on some of the weekends.??
