Good news! My fiance got his "hard copy" today and he is definitely going to be on the carrier USS Stennis in WA state! :) He just has to go through 2 days of financial classes, so he thinks he'll be out of there by next Friday. Good luck to everyone waiting on their orders!

Sorry Juli, they are there for such a short time chris never mentioned it. Chris however went directly from BC graduation to Meridian with no leave (we couldn't even take him to lunch) so he was able to get leave and come home during Christmas. Not sure if it was because the school closed for Christmas or if he was just able to get leave. I guess what I'm saying is maybe your son can get leave if not, I think they have the weekends free couldn't they get married quickly on a weekend?

Hismom, I haven't talked to Chris yet, I think he has duty. But your son will be fine I think, even if he has to do something he doesn't want, eventually he can change it. Just try to keep his spirits up :)

And thanks BeckyM, they're still running tests.

Well, LS was one of his choices. I think he chose it, now he is afraid he will end up being a janitor because that is what they told him. I am not sure how much the recruiter pushed him, he is supposed to be an LS on a sub.

His mom was he pushed into LS by recruiter??? So sorry this is happening to him!

They are not trying to kick him out of the Navy just the LS program. They told him he may "go to the fleet undesignated" or become a janitor. There is also the possibility of changing jobs. This is all up to the Captain, the request to drop him has been put in. I don't know how long til they let him know. In the meantime he is to carry on and go to school.

I got it lynda thanks! I feel for him too. Its stressful enough just getting out of BC and all. I have read that at BC kids are getting out for medical reasons and then going to family doc only to find out they are ok. Kinda sad when you think about it. For some of these kids its all they have ever wanted to do but be in the Navy! His mom tell him don't give up yet. Lynda is a wealth of knowledge on here tell him what she said to show his motavation. Lisa has a good question can he change? Lisa sorry bout your MIL being in the hospital again. Kae I have a former student who is stationed there, on the Stennis. He and his wife seem to like it there.

Can't he change what he's in school for? At least for the time being?
Comment by hismomdeeship7div103 on April 27, 2010 at 8:03pm
It doesn't matter that he has an 86%, they are only allowed to fail so many tests. And yes they can retake them but they still count it when you fail it the first time you take it. He is already at the maximum amount you can fail, that is why he is being recommended to be kicked out.
