I am in Wooster so not too far from you. Is your son still in A school? If not, where is he?

We are from Ohio...talked to my son today, he sounded pretty upbeat and said his roommates are cool.
That is interesting about the A school for LS's. I hope they have plenty of help also.
Ok, now my son said he thinks they have to pay for their own food in Meridian, that they are given a meal ticket and it comes out of their pay.?

Yay some more moms for our group. Welcome . A school is self taught for the LS's so they could be done earlier if they work at it. I got much from the Meridian group it was helpful. Where are you guys from?

Groton is in Connecticut. From what I understand that is where his sub school will be after Meridian.

Don't know where my son will be stationed. We were told he has like 6 weeks in Meridian and 4 weeks in Groton, then a 2 week leave and then wherever after that!

Just found this group. My son just arrived in Meridian, he is going to be a ls on a sub. Anyone else have an ls on a sub? Did everyone go to Meridian for their a-school?

lynda have you heard from you son? He is in HI right? Hope all is ok with him. Donna hold out hope thatt you might get to see Bryan. Remember its the Navy anything can happen.. :)
Comment by Lisa-Chris's Mom on February 27, 2010 at 5:21pm
Same here Lynda, we were supposed to get 7" in NH on Wed and we got 18" and probably 6 more since although we did get rain all day Thurs, but for the year we like CT and MA didn't get half of what we normally do. But more tonight and tomorrow.
And Donna, I'm sorry you won't get to see Bryan before he leaves, I was fortunate Chris was based in Maine (only 4 hrs away) before deployment so we did see him quite a bit (until he met his girlfriend haha). Now however, he's in FL not nearly as close :(
