Thanks Becky, I wasn't really complaining, I guess I was hoping for a little more talk here like in other groups. Chris too is on an air base and really likes it, when he was in Brunswick, he was picked to to to Djboughti (sp?) Africa 2 weeks before everyone else to set up, which meant he had to order EVERYTHING that they were going to need for deployment. He was chosen above three others who were higher ranked than him. That was such a good thing for him and has made me very proud, he got his GED while deployed and was promoted ahead of schedule AND got a NAM award!! If only the (A-hole) principal of his middle school could see him now haha......so very very proud. Please lets keep this group going.

And to you Donna...........CONGRATULATIONS!!!! My sons daughter was born the day he left for deployment, in this pic he's meeting her for the first time. And my daughter has 3 girls, all under 5 years old cute as can be and I love every minute of them. ALSO.... my husband has 4 and one more on the way, so in May we'll have NINE!!!! Woo Hoo!!! Sadly only the 3 girls live near us, but I'll take what I can get......So have tons of fun being a grammy like me!!

Lisa, I think our group is kinda different. Our kids being LS's are all over the place mine isn't even on a ship he is at Lemoore Naval Air Station. I think his duties are much different being on the ground than those who are on a ship. I worry sometimes that he will forget what he learned at A school aobut what to do if he ever get put on a ship. :) He loves what he is doing so I guess all is ok. Lemoore is town that is really small and not much to do there. He doesn't like that fact tho, he would rather be some where with a little more things to do. Congrats Donna are theey going to find out if its a boy or a girl? Lynda your son still in HI?

Hi Becky M, I'm kind of sad that this group doesn't get much attention, as this is what our sailors are doing..... Chris is now in Jacksonville FL. He was in Maine before deployment and I'm in NH so that was soooo much better for us. But he likes Jax as it is a much busier base (Maine is closing so very slow) but too far away for me :( This detachment thing is very difficult for me

He was gone just about seven months and believe it or not she was born the day he left. Her mom is in the Nave too (althought they are not "an item")

Thank you for welcoming me to your group, it took me a while to find you, my name is Lisa and this is a pic of my son coming home from deployment and meeting his beautiful daughter for the first time. She was born the day he left, go figure. I'm glad to finally be aboard...........

Hi all hope everyone had a great holiday!! Thanks lynda or Kate for getting the name changed to LS. Donna how was it to have your sailor home for Christmas?? We got to Skype with ours. First time we did that , good thing our daughter was home from school with her lap top. LOL technology has come a long way. Does anyone kids have collateral duty? I'm just finding out about it, mine is learning how to be a plane capt. as his collateral duty. Lynda hope your enjoying your visit with your son, glad to hear he will be out of harms way for awhile.
