FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

His birthday is July 1 and he will be 20 years old. I'm having a hard time thinking
he will be out of his teenage years, man I am getting old!! LOL We have been
to the Arizona memorial it is very moving experience! Enjoy your time in Hawaii
and with your son!

My sailor is in Lemoore which is 45 minutes south of fresno. I just booked the flight to go an see him for his birthday!! Diane I wish I was staying closer I would
go and take your daughter out! My son is in the middle of the dessert I'm sure when we are there it will be nice and hot. It was already 105 there this weekend.
Anyone else getting to visit their sailor soon?? Did anyone hear about a ship sinking someone at work told me they heard that a Navy ship sank??

Where my son is stationed at is 105 today!! I can't take that kind of heat hope the sailors are all ok!!

Lynda I was just reading back posts I am so sorry for your son and the sailors family. Do they have any kind of counseling for the sailors to help them deal with it??

Hi Lisa I love them name Kylie tht is so cute!! My son was in Meridian in Feb and March and the sirens were always goin off. He told me mom don't freak
the bulidings are built to withstand a tornado. I hate them and he knows that.
Just a heads up for all the new moms if your kids take a cab in Meridian
make sure they call way in advance to get back to the base. It takes the cab
at least 45 mins to get them. Don't want anyone to be late back to the base. It will be awhile before the can leave tho!!
