Hi everyone! It's nice to see some activity on this page! I live in the South Bay as well. My DS is in Primary Flight Training in Corpus Christi, TX. He soloed on the 11th and we are heading out for his tie cutting ceremony! Congrats to B'sNukeMoM! We too have a wedding in October in Sedona. Hopefully he will get the time off, or we will be having a face time wedding!
Hello, I've not logged in quite a few years. I'm in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. My sailor in for 6 years now and it stationed in San Diego.
That's great! Have fun with the wedding. I hope they move closer also, especially if they have kids!
My son is out now - he was a nuke as was his fiancee. Both are in Michigan now going to MSU and finishing up their degrees using their GI Bills. They are getting married here in CA (in Orange) next July. Can't wait! Just wish they would be moving back to CA soon but hopefully at sometime we'll get them closer.
Oh fun! My son's been in the Navy for about 8 years now, so I'm over the hump of trying to learn all about what happens at the beginning. Where are you in the process?
I'm in Riverside.
NavyMomJeg - just spent yesterday at the San Diego Zoo! Love it there ;-D
Yes, you're right, it's a quiet group these days. I'm down in San Diego County.
Hello! This group seems very quiet! Are there any So Cal moms still active? Any near Los Angeles area? It would be great meeting other local moms/families.
I know this group isn't very active but just in case anyone is around my nephew & his bride will be playing at Europa Village Winery in Temecula tomorrow from 1-4pm. (5j Barrow). It's a free event. Come on by if you're in the area!
Looking for something to do this weekend in SoCal / Central Coast? Naval Base Ventura County Air Show, featuring the Blue Angels.
