FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

KatK and BBWinthemoon...I do work but do usually get a day or 2 off during the week. Next week I have Thurs and Friday off.

november 6 we have family in from out of town. What about the following weekend?

Rorysmom and KatK, would like to meet with you, not sure if you work or what your schedules are like but we are all within 10 min of each other, maybe lunch or coffee?

I would love to go on the 6th of Nov. but depends on what time...my stepmom is having a gallery opening on the 6th.

Hi Darsete...I'll be in Big Bear on the 6th of Nov. but have a great time if it gets set up!

KatK and BBwinthemoon...I am in Lake Forest...we need to do a get together locally. I also have a Navy mom friend in Aliso Viejo...she would probably love to meet with us....

BBWinthemoon, I live in SJC! Maybe we can get a meet and greet in South County this time. I think the last couple of times it has been in North Orange County.

Someone just needs to set a date and pick up the ball and run with it. People will either fit it into their schedule or make the following event.
