CAT: Yes, thank goodness for some sunshine...this June gloom has been here way too long (I shouldn't complain, I'm originally from Seattle where it's almost always june gloom weather)!!! I'm looking forward to the next M&G this group has....

Rorysmom: Your PIR experience sounds frustrating to say the least. I'm glad you went though and were able to see your son for even a short time. Yes, I plan on being there through Monday (staying at the Residence Inn) and rumor does have it that after he reports to his new A school digs in GL we might get to have him for the weekend maybe even overnight. That would be sooooo awesome!! I'd love to grab a coffee with you anytime.

MommytoBrittFaceShip10DIV255: I, too, am new to the group and it sounds like my son is graduating from bootcamp the week after your daughter. His PIR is 8/6. Congratulations and I think it's great that you are so proud of your daughter for making the decision to join on her own. Good for her!!!

Thanks to all of you for being here!

Hello Everyone! I am new to this group and looking forward to meeting new moms & dads and making new friends. I am a single mother of 4 ~ 2 boys & 2 girls. My oldest daughter decided last year she wanted to join the Navy and she some how had her leave for boot camp stretched out to a year. She left on June 1st to Great Lakes, IL. Although I was sad by her decision I was also very happy because she made a decision based on something she wanted to do and nothing anyone has suggested to her. Although she disliked boot camp more than anything, she has made it and will graduate this coming Friday. I am so filled with happiness I do not know how to explain it. Thank you in advance for your support and your friendship.
