HI Laura & Welcome back home! I know you are proud of Chad and glad you were able to spend some time with him. Looking forward to pictures!

That's okay Jaye! I'm sure we're all patient here and will be waiting to see where the next event will be. That is probably a good idea since we are all so spaced out to take turns and switch back & forth between the coastal/beach area and more inland. I'm kinda in between there.

Great pic of your son Lisa!

Laura, how exciting, enjoy the time with your son!
Please tell us about PIR when you arrive back and have the chance.

Rock Bottom Brewery and Restaurant in LB on March 1st.

For those of you driving there will be validated parking for two hours. The parking garage is right before the restaurant on the right side if your going south on Pine.

Wish I could come but will not be back in the States until March 2. Please let us know all about the meet and greet. I would love to connect with some Navy Moms!

Any mom's of daughters going to boot camp out there? She leaves on March 10! I'm in Orange County & would love to hear from others :-)

I'm sure there will be name tags but thought the photo button would be a good idea. That's for whoever would like to do one.

The ship my son is aboard is smaller than a carrier and there are no accomodations for Moms to go on the Tiger Cruises. I would be on that cruise in a heartbeat! My question is, how are they accomodating seven female officers on the ship while away on deployment? They also have an extra crew onboard.

For the Get Together in March...Here is a suggestion that we all make a photo button of our sailors to wear. You can pick up a clear plastic photo button at Walgreen’s or Michael’s. Some of you can use your profile pic if you like or just one of your sailor.

Hi Sharon, unfortunately I will not be at the first homecoming up north but we will be greeting our son when the ship first pulls into San Diego down south. But he will be taking his leave time from there...can't wait. My son says he will get his dad on one of those Tiger Cruises. But hubby is afraid of getting seasick.

Oh, your welcome. I think it has been more tougher on me than I realize. Keeping busy always helps and putting together those packages is always fun. Anything from home will cheer them up a bit and put a smile on our loved ones face. Maybe chat with you some more over at Surviving Deployment.
