Have a great trip Carole. You will have to let us all know what Ceremonial Guard Boot Camp is. I've lived in Nebraska for the last two years and we had to buy all new jackets and clothes, coming from So Cal we were not prepared!! Enjoy the graduation!

Hi Diana, I lived in La Sierra for 22 years before moving to Nebraska two years ago. We may know some of the same people, especially if you were involved in PTA.

Hi everyone, I am originally from Westchester (by LAX) my parents have lived there since 1944. I lived in Omaha, NE for just over two years. My son is in A school in San Diego, the lucky kid!!! I can't tell you how much I miss California!!!

And to Cathy, that would be great if we all can meet one day..
Wow, enjoy the time with your son and best wishes to him. My son experienced his first real winter there while going through A school.
Looking forward to hearing from ya when you get back.

Hi, I'm Karen and Mom to Sailor KC and I live near Anaheim. My son has been in for fifteen months now and his ship left this past Monday on delpoyment. Homeport is in Washington and the ship will be making a brief stop in San Diego this coming weekend so I'll get to see him again for a little while before they head out again. KC was recently home on leave and I was able to spend a little more time with him when I had flew back with him.

Wow its Friday, 9/12 and I'm watching the news about the terrible train crash in Chatsworth. Prayers for the families....it looks so bad and I just wanted to check in here. I hope everyone is doing well and your sailors are too.

Hello ladies, My son is in bc due to PIR on 9/26. He decided to go reserves so after A school I get to have him back! He should be home in January and will then attend Cal State Long Beach. He will drill at least once a month in San Diego. So far he's having fun and enjoying bc...he's only 17 so everything is fun. We live in Montclair.
April, I'm sorry theres a rift between you and your son...why and who is angry?
