Stephen is doing fine still at Travis Airforce Base and still attending college classes. He will complete his freshman year in February. Second Christmas
without him. Boo.
Janie, All is well on my front...thanks for asking! My oldest went through boot camp and is still in GL for ATT. She is coming home tomorrow for the Holidays and will be off to A School. Doing well.
My younger daughter is still having issues getting in. WE have had two specialists clear her to go...nothing is wrong with her...she was misdiagnosed by a specialist the Navy took her to. We have submitted paperwork and are just waiting...and waiting...and waiting.
How is your sailor doing?
God bless you Laura. Good work
I have to tell you all, one of my bestest navymom friends has a son on the Cape. I know how very much those boxes mean to them...so THANK YOU!
I, of course, also particiated and sent boxes there. I am also part of the group "NavyMom Holiday Project" - this is their second year, and they (we) send holiday boxes to a deployed strike group every year. This year, the group they adopted is also a group in which I have a marine I support, and I KNOW they LOVED it.
:)
How are your girls doing???
Thanks Janie! I am apart of the Molly's project. :) Sent some boxes off to the Cape. I will look for your packing party!
Wow Janie, you and I are on the same page. I slept in a sweatsuit last night, with furry socks on! I hate the cold, moved here from up north 23 years ago to get away from it.
When I miss snow I put on the weather channel. I look at it, say, wow, thats pretty, and then usually head outside to enjoy the warmth and sunshine again!
We probably will do one for 4th of July. Go to Molly's adopt a sailor there are lots of packing partys going on. Socks, I've got on furry slippers, a tee shirt, sweat shirt and sweat pants and I'm inside. Hah
Janie, please let me know when there is another packing party...I would travel to participate! :)
Thanks Laura. Merry Christmas to everyone and their sailors. We are freezing down here in the Keys!!!! May 2011 bring smooth sailing for all
