Okay, my Husband is currently at Sub School in Groton, CT, we live together there. He is schedule to graduate next month. He got his orders in today and he was selected for a Boat stationed in Georgia, which is what we wanted. However, the Boat is in dry dock in Virgina...his orders say he has to report to Virgina  first and nothing else. We have no idea where I am going now....Do they move me with him if the Boat is going to be in Virgina for a year or so? Do they just stick me in Georgia and say wait it out till the Boat gets back, and who know how long that'll be? What is going to happen to our household stuff? He was supposed to take a Navigation class in Georgia when we first got there but is he not going to do that now? Please help me...I'm freaking out :(

So I've been offline for a while, but it is awesome that our husbands are on the same boat!  We'll definatly have to get together.  Though I won't be moving for a bit because of my son... depressing.  Oh well, I've been apart from my husband for a year, what's another few months.

Did you have any luck with the house you were looking at?  We've picked a few we like, but haven't made any commitment yet.  I hate to get a place and not live in it, especially if the guys have to leave for two months and finish the tour with the sub.  Ugh, military life, we're crazy women for marrying into it *wink*

Definitely :) Maybe by then I will know a couple nice places for us to go there. We don't have any children ((yet lol ;) )) but I love kids and I had friends back home with little ones and we would go to parks an such and chit chat while their little ones ran around. I hope the process to approve the move with your son out of state goes smoothly...

Actually the place we liked was rented a few weeks ago. Oh well, lol. We have found a couple other places we like and have viewings setup with the owners this coming weekend. One of the houses is owned by a couple who have sons in the Submarine force so we are pretty comfortable if we end up renting theirs.
