I just found this and thought it was cute...

My sailor.Submariner

I love My Sailor so deeply and true

He is my Husband, my Friend and a Daddy too

He chose his fate when signed that line

To become a Submariner and serve his time

As the Submarine is prepped and the workday ends

He comes home to tell me, "It is that time again"

The night before "The Boat" gets underway

We prepare ourselves for that dreaded day

He Packs his sea bag so snug and tight

For it will be time to leave at dawn's early light

With his sea bag across his shoulder

and the tears in his eyes we know it is time for all the goodbyes

My Sailor and his crew are running silent and deep

Protecting our freedom while awake or asleep

For the beautiful flag flies freely in the wind

My sailor will proudly salute it until the very end

SubWife2010,  My husband had that going on in his class too  : (  .  When we finally got the orders it was great but also a bit strange to know something after living with so much mystery for so long.

BonnieMae,  I am originally from the Pacific Northwest too, we had been hoping for  orders there,  I am looking forward to the lovely green even though it comes with so much gray sky.  Are you already stationed somewhere?

SO my husband and I almost recieved orders today! TPU guys got in trouble some of them failed inspections and didnt show up to watch on time! so the master chief was yalling and said I had a meeting with the detailer about making orders for a list of 10 guys (Including my husband) but I cant do that now because I have to deal with you guys that screwed up. (My husband didnt get in trouble but this is the guys on hold at BESS) SOme were put back to white card and got in some trouble! Hoping he will talk and get our orders to us from the detailer tomorrow?? we shall see!

Lindsay(Jesse's Girl) -

We have orders to Bangor as well and will move in one month.  My husband is already there.  We wanted to go with on-base housing but decided to find a place off-base after finding out more.  I can give you the name and number of a great lady to talk to in the Fleet and Family Dept.  We have also done a ton of research and spoke to friends and family that know the area as well.  We decided to live in Poulsbo, WA about 20 min away from base.  I also started a discussion for Bangor, WA wives, perhaps we could do the ?/answer thing there

: )  .  So happy someone else on here will be in WA!!!

Is anyone else's children driving them crazy while their husbands are gone? I think I may lose it!

hey all :) im soon to be sub wife and still have so many questions about how things are going to be...... my sailor is about to go to sub school in acouple of weeks and very worried at the same time......

Maybe not. After BESS they gave DH orders to the rest of his schooling and we were able to use those to move as long as the schools are long enough.
