I just found this and thought it was cute...

My sailor.Submariner

I love My Sailor so deeply and true

He is my Husband, my Friend and a Daddy too

He chose his fate when signed that line

To become a Submariner and serve his time

As the Submarine is prepped and the workday ends

He comes home to tell me, "It is that time again"

The night before "The Boat" gets underway

We prepare ourselves for that dreaded day

He Packs his sea bag so snug and tight

For it will be time to leave at dawn's early light

With his sea bag across his shoulder

and the tears in his eyes we know it is time for all the goodbyes

My Sailor and his crew are running silent and deep

Protecting our freedom while awake or asleep

For the beautiful flag flies freely in the wind

My sailor will proudly salute it until the very end

So I just got home from an AMAZING weekend in Groton!! If there's anyone who's planning a trip, it is definatley worth it!!! We went to mystic, it was so cute!! There isn't a whole lot to do, but just being with your sailor is all that matters :) ahhhh, I want to go back lol!

@Sam I could be wrong, but I think it's as long as you're married 6 weeks before he gets his orders, you'll be on them.
I think that's what I've read :)

Justins gunna be an MM too!

I have a question -

My husband and I have gotten married since he's been in BESS. :)
He is going to school to be an MM, so I think after BESS it'll just be A School. Would the Navy move me with him after his school is over? Or not until a 2nd deployment?

Thanks!

Thank you so much for the response and information Emily and Elisabeth! I really appreciate it, such a help.
I will plan on the whole weekend and be happy with whatever time I get. Going to the airport in the event of G&G sounds great.
Thank you again : )

Thanks Emily.
I know this sounds stupid - don't I have to bring the box of things to a post office and pay to ship it? (or something... haha)

@ mountain ocean/ he should be able to tell you of he's g&g. I think it all depends on when classes start, but I could be wrong. Your next phone call, ask him! We stayed until Tuesday, to see him off at the airport!

I am new to this site, my husband is Ship 13 Div 327 on October 1st.

I know that the Navy is very unpredictable however I will go ahead and ask....

My husband will be attending Submariner school in Groton, CT. Does anyone know if he will most likely be G&G?

Trying to decide whether I should stay until Sunday night or leave on Saturday. Thanks!
