I just found this and thought it was cute...

My sailor.Submariner

I love My Sailor so deeply and true

He is my Husband, my Friend and a Daddy too

He chose his fate when signed that line

To become a Submariner and serve his time

As the Submarine is prepped and the workday ends

He comes home to tell me, "It is that time again"

The night before "The Boat" gets underway

We prepare ourselves for that dreaded day

He Packs his sea bag so snug and tight

For it will be time to leave at dawn's early light

With his sea bag across his shoulder

and the tears in his eyes we know it is time for all the goodbyes

My Sailor and his crew are running silent and deep

Protecting our freedom while awake or asleep

For the beautiful flag flies freely in the wind

My sailor will proudly salute it until the very end

Congrats Emily - I remember the relief I felt when I received my packet. I had a little note from him on the back and knew the date that I got to wrap my arms around him again.

we scheduled everything early so our stuff will be there before we get there or like a week after we get there.. we already have a delivery estimation date for late august.. which means if it sticks to that date our stuff will be there before we will.. my car we are shipping next week... we are trying for the same day our stuff gets hauled off..

yea that's why we are up here in wa my hubs is going to another school.. it was nice to have him home for a yr..

I cant believe your pack out date is so soon! We don't pack out till July 27th. Then off to Tn for 10 days.

IDK maybe. Matt used to be on Fast Attacks, he came here to go to school for boomers. Since we are going to Guam now instead of a boomer we don't know what is going to happen when we are done in Guam. If he goes on a boomer, I think we would choose to come back to Ga since our family live in Tn. If he goes back to a FA I want to go to San Diego or Hawaii.

the freestanding ones on base are REALLY nice. I would have loved those. We were told they were for E-6 and above though...boo By the time we get back from Guam we should be E-6 possibly E-7...yay!
