I just found this and thought it was cute...

My sailor.Submariner

I love My Sailor so deeply and true

He is my Husband, my Friend and a Daddy too

He chose his fate when signed that line

To become a Submariner and serve his time

As the Submarine is prepped and the workday ends

He comes home to tell me, "It is that time again"

The night before "The Boat" gets underway

We prepare ourselves for that dreaded day

He Packs his sea bag so snug and tight

For it will be time to leave at dawn's early light

With his sea bag across his shoulder

and the tears in his eyes we know it is time for all the goodbyes

My Sailor and his crew are running silent and deep

Protecting our freedom while awake or asleep

For the beautiful flag flies freely in the wind

My sailor will proudly salute it until the very end

When are you wanting to come?

I use www.travelocity.com and if you are coming in 3 weeks than I would look up "flexible dates" because you could get it cheaper that way since you would get the ticket 21 days before! You can rent a car from both (I know you can from BDL) I think but the train in at the PVD one! I have never gone to the PVD but will be on Tue.!

How old are you PROUDNAVYWIFE2?  If you are under 21 or 25 a car company may not rent to you.  You can call a cab and it can take you to the train station.  Maybe BearyBlueNavyWife! can point you in the direction to find the train station from the airport?  Not trying to be a downer, but it would be awful to think you could rent a car and then be unable to.

Yes he is in A school and I want to visit him....if I go to Hartford can I rent a car at the airport?? I have never been thee so i kind of scared of getting lost. I have been looking for flights but no one seems to be going to CT maybe I'm looking on the wrong websites. Is it really complicated to get around out there???

Is he here in CT and you want to come see him!? You can either fly into Hartford/ BDL or Providence RI/ PVD they are both about a hour from base and PVD you can take the train to New London CT and either have him pick you up there or rent a car!? I don't know if this helps or answers your question but let me know if I can help anymore!?
