Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi All.... this groups been real quiet lately.. just wondering if anyone is still planning on going to graduation on Aug 21.. my family will be in that area but not sure yet if we will be at graduation since my son says its not a big deal .. we still havent got any word yet on his orders to his next station :( I hate wondering lol

I was told that its not a big deal that there wont be any parents at the graduation in athens by my son .. but ... Vicki is going and if you go, there are parents going so maybe its my son who doesnt want us to make a deal out of gradutaion lol i'm not sure yet what me and my husband are doing since he will be off work that week from Ford, James wants us to go down to athens the end of July to visit and get some things done for him since he never has time to do thing for himself (car stuff)

Talked to James yesterday he said there staying on a ship (uss m v) in the marine quarters he is on the top bunk lol he is 6ft4 on the top bunk (laughing) does anyone know if they have air conditioning on ships?

lol... Well My son also has done lots of excursions since being in Athens since January.. all i'm saying is it easier now, before class starts.. take advantage of what time they have to them self right now

I'm also sorry for Nick change of plans, tell him thank you for our boys ..alsoTell him to enjoy the time he has off now tho.. once he starts class he will not have time for anything

aww Vicki I'm so sorry I forgot you were meeting Peter in S D (real bummer)
Norfolk a huge base, we were there 2 years ago on vacation, before my son was in the navy and I was so excited to see those huge ships passing in the bay, James isn't looking forward to the ride to VA either

my son is kinda bummed there trip to San Diego got cancelled, but he is excited to be going to norfolk.. at least they will be gone, for most of the little heat wave there having in Ga

We had a wonderful time this weekend, its hard trying to visit with all the family when you don't have much time,I hope Peter had a good trip to MB ,I love MB we might be going there this summer with our RV, Have a good day ttys Dee
