Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hey All
SMV I sent you a message where my son lived, My son and Vicki's son graduated together at Supply School in Athens,
Im glad to hear Peters doing so well, James is in SD Very Busy but (loving and living the navy life ) he is on the USS Green Bay still hasn't found anywhere to live, he lives on the ship for now, been to Hawaii afew times, fleet week in SF lots of underway training, my family is going to San Diego for Christmas for a week, James job is the DISBO on the ship and is very busy with his job, hope everyone has a great hoilday takecare and Congrats to your son smv8184

Welcome Nancy, My Son just graduated Supply school and is currently in SanDiego, good luck in Athens I liked GA but my son wasn't a big fan of GA he was there 9 months

well I got a bit of better news tonight .. my son found someone to drive with him at least to Vegas a shipmate is on leave and was going there anyway so thats a relief.. there planing on drive thru

Thank you Barb.. I asked the same thing, he has written orders for him to report to Ca on Sept 30 but there was a special training course they are doing and the person he is replacing said he had to be there,so his orders were changed.. my husband flew to GA this morning to help load his u-haul and my son will drop him off at the airport on his way out of GA.. what a mess.. he will be checked out tomorrow from Athens

Everything is messed up...James came home to Michigan for a few days this weekend before he had to get ready to leave for CA but as soon has he got here he got a call from the person he will be replacing on his ship, saying he needs to be in CA by Monday 14th and tuesday he leaves for Hawaii for a month training run on his ship.. im all upset ..now he has to pack his stuff in GA and drive by himself to CA and be there in 4 days.... im excited for him to get started but im so afraid and what is he going to do with his stuff ? he has 1 day (mon) and nobody there to help him.. I feel helpless

WOW last week flew by.. We just got home from Myrtle beach and Athens from my Son's Graduation it was very nice meeting Vicki and Family and Father Theo .. your Son-in-law sat in front of my family and we were talking thru the graduation and it didnt dawn on me who he was until after the graduatiion so I had to interduce myself to him and your daughter and tell him im a n4m friend lol anyway I was excited .. you have a very nice family I wish them luck in VA..

Yep we are going to Graduation, James is excited about SD (he will be on a LPD)...he has never been to CA...I agree it is a beautiful place lol we hopefully will be visiting around Christmas if he is in port :) see you next week

My son got called in to the office today for his orders I guess he is headed to san diego :( just waiting official orders now on paper.. and when he will be leaving .. im sad because its so far away
