Please, please remember before you post: our sons are part of a Special Operations community, even while in training, and it is vitally important to form the habit of not divulging any information that could possibly compromise the safety of any of their members. This would especially apply to names, dates, places, procedures, etc. You might like to read the "Discussion Forum" titled "OPSEC" for some guidance. If you are still in doubt, please ask one of our members for their opinion by private message before you post. We are here to help each other, but we must be careful at all times.

Hello, my son left tues (3-2) for BC then off to SWCC. I am curious how long (aprox) after PIR he will have before he starts training. I know there are 3 training centers, also when will they know where they train. Thanks. ps. I really miss him

Welcome jself, yes, this is a hard time for us, we miss them so much!! Are you new to Navy for Mons? There a couple of groups that really help, especially during Boot Camp.

One thing they don't tell you, is that if you're a spec ops mom/dad (SEAL or SWCC) we dont' show pictures of our boys or even use their names. It's for their protection, because this site is a haven for US, but can be information for the enemy.

On a lighter note, welcome to the crazy world of Navy Moms!

Welcome MrSC, D'sMum has it right (she always does). For something cool to watch, see YouTube video called "The Navy's Best Kept Secret."

Hey MrSC, welcome! Have you talked to your Recruiter? He will tell you what you need to do to get in shape. It's a lot like SEAL training. You need to be off the charts before you enlist! And it's popular right now, so there is lots of competition.
Run, swim, run, swim, lift, then do it again, with more weight.... you need to be at the top of your game. You may not even make it to get to SWCC school past BC.
My son started training hard at least 6 months before BC. He was 19 when he went in.
Read the past posts here. Google different stuff. There is lots on line. Good luck, and God Bless!

Hey everyone. It's my first day as a member here on this forum.

Im 29 years old and I want to become a SWCC team member. I had a couple questions for you.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me the kind of shape their son was in before he started SWCC school. I am in good shape, (and plan on getting into even better shape before I apply) I just want to know - what level should I be at physically when I enlist?

If anyone could give me an idea of what kind of training their son did before applying for SWCC, or what I can expect during SWCC school - I would really appreciate it.

Whats the pass/fail rate at SWCC school?

Thanks in advance!
