Please, please remember before you post: our sons are part of a Special Operations community, even while in training, and it is vitally important to form the habit of not divulging any information that could possibly compromise the safety of any of their members. This would especially apply to names, dates, places, procedures, etc. You might like to read the "Discussion Forum" titled "OPSEC" for some guidance. If you are still in doubt, please ask one of our members for their opinion by private message before you post. We are here to help each other, but we must be careful at all times.

D'sMum, he did reply. I actually sent it to both of my kids (daughter too) she called to make sure I was OK and he sent one back saying "we love you too mom" ahhhwww they are both wonderful people. They both chose to SERVE. Daugher is an R.N. and son...well you know. I'm very proud as I know we all are!!! :)
BUT, it's hard to have our sailors far away...he leaves soon for a place that couldn't be farther from me without leaving the country....I know THAT is coming soon too.
((((HUGS)))) back to you!

Hey Tee---Thank goodness it's almost Friday! Did your son reply to your text? How is your son doing? Well, I hope. You are entitled to feel sentimental. This is hard. You are amazing and have raised an amazing son. He is far away, but I know he misses you too. Thank God he is doing something productive with his life, and not wasting it playing video games or something!!!! Keep in touch.
((((HUGS TO YOU)))) And everyone else who feels like Tee and I today! <3
Take care.

Hi friends, it's downhill to the weekend! How is everyone doing? I sent a sappy text to my son last night then sent another saying "sorry, I was feeling sentimental." I really miss him. It hasn't even been that long since I saw him but he feels far away, you know?

(((HUGS))) to anyone feeling the same.

Good morning Tee - yes I heard about it yesterday... So sad... What a reality check! He was only 1 year older than my son.

Good Morning ladies. In case you haven't heard, we lost a SEAL the day before yesterday. Prayers being sent for his family and the entire SEAL community. http://www.fox43tv.com/dpps/military/Virginia-Beach-sailor-dies-dur...

Hi dreams, hopefully the GL weather will be better for PIR !!!! No matter, it's an awesome event and you won't ever forget it.

I'm just stopping by this morning to say 'hi.' I'll be off line until Tuesday, going on a short vaca with hubby. I hope you all have a great weekend and TTYL. (((HUGS)))

Good morning Tee!! I know SD will be like paradise compared to the weather in Great Lakes. My son can't wait to get there! He's going to be even further away from VA, but I think I'll like visiting him in SD better than the windy city! SD is one of my most favorite places. I used to go there alot on business.... Now I can go on pleasure! 12 more day until PIR!!!
