Please, please remember before you post: our sons are part of a Special Operations community, even while in training, and it is vitally important to form the habit of not divulging any information that could possibly compromise the safety of any of their members. This would especially apply to names, dates, places, procedures, etc. You might like to read the "Discussion Forum" titled "OPSEC" for some guidance. If you are still in doubt, please ask one of our members for their opinion by private message before you post. We are here to help each other, but we must be careful at all times.

Hi everybody, I was at my daughter's last night and couldn't check in here so I wanted to drop in and say 'hi.' It shoudl be a nice weekend in SD! Rest and recoup for 'our sons.' I hear you Cindy, they all feel like mine now that I'm a Proud Navy Mom (and the girls too, don't want to leave out the lady sailors) ooh, what do they call them now? I haven't heard the term "WAVES" for years, that's probably dating me big time....LOL

I hoope those in snow country are digging out now! TTYL

Hi Denise -- you're right about the snow being gone, but it is still very cold. Hate to tell you, but they're predicting a "wintry mix" here tomorrow... Sunday is supposed to be sunny and in the 40s - almost balmy!!! LOL Have a safe trip.

Hi everybody, I'm so so sorry but I deleted the discussion and the replies from Cindy. I felt as the admin I needed to do this because it mentioned numbers in a class and we aren't supposed to do that. PLEASE contact Cindy and support her, hopefully she will add the discussion back.

Hey Denise(Dee) -

It snowed alot this morning in Va Beach, but with the 50mph gusts, it has blown it all away! This has been a crazy year for us with all the rain and snow. I'm tired of the cold ! I heard they got a foot of snow in Chicago last night - just hope it's clear in 2 weeks - when I go for PIR!!!
This weekend is supposed to be partly sunny and in the 40s - so come on!

Crazy weather isn't it? There was an earthquake in the Chicago area, go figure....!

Some day I would love to visit the east, so much history to see, but think I'll wait until summer, I do not do well in the cold.

I hope she gets out soon Dee.

Anyone in the path of those storms, please stay safe with all that snow!!!

Anyone have plans for the 3 day weekend? I'm having a "girls night in" with my daughter and her 2 little ones (at her place). Put kids to bed, watch a movie, eat popcorn, talk until all hours, can't wait! Then maybe off to the mountains with hubby for Valentine's Day.

On another note, please pray for the current SWCC class.

I hear ya! You go momma! They have 3 airports that can get you there, just firmly inform the pilot that he has to head to the one that's open, no matter what, cause your new SAILOR is waiting! Who can say not to that??? ROFL
Comment by dreams on February 8, 2010 at 5:15pm
Doing better every day Tee-1 !! Thanks for asking. I'm sure my adrenaline will keep me warm...I just don't want the airport to close as i'm trying to fly in! I may have to take over the controls and land "wherever"! LOL Don't get in the way of a mom seeing their kid!!!!!
