OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please, please remember before you post: our sons are part of a Special Operations community, even while in training, and it is vitally important to form the habit of not divulging any information that could possibly compromise the safety of any of their members. This would especially apply to names, dates, places, procedures, etc. You might like to read the "Discussion Forum" titled "OPSEC" for some guidance. If you are still in doubt, please ask one of our members for their opinion by private message before you post. We are here to help each other, but we must be careful at all times.

It is ironic D'sMum35 that so much of the country is flooded with rain and snow and where we grow all the food, it's dry.

I'm sorry! It was 75 a few hours ago. Really, we need the rain in OC. Huntington beach is now on water conservation. Crazy. That whole big ocean and no water. Isn't it ironic?

Ah, the sun! Havn't seen the sun for weeks! (it feels that way to me) 71F, not too shabby!

Yep, San Diego is not cold!
Yahoo says:
Today: Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High 71F. Winds light and variable.

Thanks slimkim for sharing the video. Looks like all had a great time. I'm forwarding it to my granddaughter who is just joining girl scouts. Very cool.

Is there anywhere in the U.S. that isn't COLD right now?
