Congratulations to all who PIR'd in the last couple weeks! Best of luck to all the "W's" heading to CA this week also!!
KEEP YOUR HEAD HELD HIGH & YOUR SPIRITS UP!!
Had such an amazing experience at the PIR on 10/5. Way to go DIV 821. Now comes the hard part, and extremely difficult not knowing when we will be able to see our "W" again. Chicago was a close drive....his new place is not. Wishing all families whos W's leave tomorrow well wishes.
Trixiebell my son is also headed to the same place on same day as yours. Friend me, I would love to have someone to chat with via email. I'm having a hard time knowing he will not be living anywhere close to home. I am so glad we went to PIR, what an amazing experience and visiting with my son was awesome!
Had an awesome time at PIR on 10/5/12, got to spend 4 days with our "W". It's so awesome that he has his phone now so we can text. He will be headed for Coronado Wednesday the 17th can't wait :-)
I took Travis66's suggestion and created a new discussion thread, "What I've Learned On This Journey." I also edited to include the suggestions that others made in their comments as well... looking forward to see what other Moms have learned too! :)
Welcome to all of the 'new' Mom's and I'm so glad that there are more postings! :) Hope this finds all you, your families and "W's" happy, safe and in good health!
It's been a while...hi SWCC family~Welcome new moms (parents) and God bless and protect your W's through the tour. Congrats new grads! God bless our W's deployed and those soon to deploy.
I am so happy...received more photos, he said he's safe and will call once stateside...(of course he reminds me not to post on the internet) he knows I get deliriously, silly-excited to hear from him (jumping up & down & screaming with joy, lol)..and of course I remind him not to worry OPSEC is always near and dear. This contact should last me another 3mos...hopefully not too much longer. Of course no specifics, but so grateful for the communication.
Sometimes I pinch myself...just 4yrs ago we traditionally shared a day of laughter on Sunday afternoons at the movies. It was our quality time for mom & son. Wow, my baby is now a husband, father and an elite professional! Time has past so fast, yet so slow. So blessed to be a member of this community. May God bless us, each and every mom to continually grow in strength and courage for our sons. Be safe and be well our W's past, present and future! HOOYAH!!!
Hooya!!
Prayers for all the "W"s - May the Lord be with all of them and give them the strength, determination, endurance and mental fortitidue to get through the tour.
annie, Will definitely send prayers & strong positive thoughts!
To all the Naval "Mumma's" out there: Please send your love, positive thoughts, prayers to all our W's who are going thru the Tour this week. Thank you
