Please, please remember before you post: our sons are part of a Special Operations community, even while in training, and it is vitally important to form the habit of not divulging any information that could possibly compromise the safety of any of their members. This would especially apply to names, dates, places, procedures, etc. You might like to read the "Discussion Forum" titled "OPSEC" for some guidance. If you are still in doubt, please ask one of our members for their opinion by private message before you post. We are here to help each other, but we must be careful at all times.

SWCC'Em, my "W" texted me about 1/2 hr ago two words... "made it".  That's all I got to go on for now, but I'm going to assume that The Tour is secured.  I texted back for him to call when he gets a chance.  The waiting is abnoxiously hard, but I know that he and all his crew are strong and did well and that made it so much better!

No word yet from my "W" on 'The Tour.' I have no idea what time it's supposed to be 'done' or if there is a time for it to be done (other than those in charge saying, "It's done when we say it's done."  I feel like I've gone through the Mom's version of "The Tour" this week :) I just hope that he didn't fall asleep before letting us know it's 'done.' I'll keep with the mindset, "No news is good news" until I hear one way or another.

Like BlessedMom I've watched "Surviving the Cut" many times as a way to 'feel closer' to what he's experiencing and to just become more educated.

Little did I know when my "W" enlisted that I would get another family and such amazing support from other Mom's such as yourselves. Thank you each!

So happy for all the parents of 72-2 who will be able to watch the ceremonies of being pinned and joining the club.  My W has been in med training and getting ready to head to VA.  Looking to buy a house and get established with his team.  What changes!  We are on opposite coast lines so I'm looking forward to being with him in a couple of months for a visit.  I do the same Blessed Mom, in watching "the cut" again to remember the committment it took for my son.  I still stand in amazement of the accomplishment of the time.  God bless them all.

Here is a group for parents of W's who DOR'd. I am sorry this is a long time coming, but here you are. My wonderful friend had to remind me of the group. I would love to think no one needs this, but.....XOXOXO

Good morning SWCC family. 72-2 moms are in my prayers today. This day is shaping up to be beautiful. Now for the rest to fall into place. Unfortunately, we seasoned SWCC parents know exactly how you are feeling right now. Hold tight to the thought that you have ALL raised amazing young men, and our Country is a better place because of them, and you.

On a different note, my W has told me that next Saturday (8-25) is Family Day. Ask your W about this. If possible try to attend. You are in for the treat of a life-time.

Hiiii everyone...it has been awhile. When my tears flow because I miss my "W" so much, reading the new mom's inquiries and knowing new SWCC classes are going through the same process allows me to distract from my heartache of missing my "W", who will always be my babyboy, my friend ,my grace!  This site is a fountain of hope and support. My Warrior continually amazes me with all that he has conquered. This SWCC group is always inspiring and comforting, and I thank each and everyone of you.  My "W" when he can, sends me texts and pics...all the guys are always smiling. My heart leaps whenever I get a chance to communicate with him.  He always tells me to be strong and be well, and I in return tell him, I am so very proud of him and I pray for God's angels to encamp and keep him and all safe. My mental toughness kicks into gear, when I'm able to communicate with him, because I don't ever want him to worry about me. Yes, I agree our W's are so well prepared, thank you NSW. It's all in a days work for them, they are the best of the best!  I pray for all our sons in this close community and their brotherhood. My "W" is also very happy with his NSW career. Years ago, way before bootcamp, I remember him saying, " Ma if I can somehow combine medical and special forces it would be the ultimate".  Well he has done it; what a blessing he is now living his life passion. WOW! .. Congratulations, Class 72, Hooyah!!  Hello and welcome new parents. You can watch Class 68 BCT & CQT training on youtube/survivingthecut/swcc...it helps address some of the unknown and concerns about their evolutions. It certainly helped me with the unknown. Last year, I recorded (dvr) the series Surviving the Cut on Discovery ch when it aired, so whenever it's a hard day and I miss him fiercely, I turn on the t.v. and feel close to my "W".  It is a blessing and honor to be a part of our proud community. God bless all our Warriors and their families!  A special blessing to all SWCC moms lying awake at night praying for the safety and well-being of our sons!  HOOYAH!!!  (((group hug)))  :0)

Wow!  All of your "W"'s journeys make me and my family proud to be Americans.  I learn more and more every day what exactly my own "W" actually signed up for and what this means for him and for us.  I am honored to have a son serving with all of your sons.  Thank you!!  We're all looking forward to seeing him this weekend and as a bonus, we get to escape the 100 degree heat for a few days too and enjoy the beautiful beaches there --although he probably won't want any part of them after this week :)
