My comment was deleted. :(
Looking for a local support group - my son ships to RTC Jan 2017. We live just north of Tampa. If there is not a local group, I would love to get something going. I'm struggling already, and we have 7 months until he ships. If anyone is interested in meeting to chat, please let me know. I am in New Port Richey. ~ Donna

Hey everyone hope 2015 is starting out to be a good one for you!  Since it's a new year I thought maybe we could plan a get together again. It's been a long time.....  Just asking. My son has signed up for another 5 years so I have a long road ahead of me. He remarried again so I am happy he is not alone she is with him every step of the way. He is going out on the USS Cape St. George in a month or so not sure of the exact date yet but it will be coming up quick. I am already thinking about it....  Well Happy New Years to all and maybe we can get together soon :)

Hi, meeting again for lunch or dinner would be great. I am game for any where Dunedin is fine. I live by St. Pete.

Hi navymom2013:

I'm from TPA but would be willing to meet in Dunedin (or elsewhere) for dinner.  I don't know the area, so someone else should choose a meeting place.  Thanks.

Hi sharonscar and everyone - I am ready to meet again.  I am going to leave the pick of restaurants up to someone else though.    Well - it was way too expensive and the food was only weird appetizers but it was nice and quiet and we were left alone to talk and converse in private.  I am in Dunedin.  If anyone wants to come here - I know all the restaurants and some of the owners.  If not, let's pick a time and a place - make some suggestions - I can coordinate again if you want.

I have my blue candle ready to put on the table and would love to meet with you all from the Tampa Bay Area.

Congrats to your son on the drill team. I would like to join you for lunch next time also. I'm in Pinellas Park. Maybe around the 22nd or 23rd Of February.  Hopefully it will be a little bit warmer!
