Hi All - been a while since I've been on this site, been lurking around the corpsman mom site these days! Hope everyone is doing well and all of your sailors are making you proud! My sailor is currently in Portsmouth VA in surgical tech C-school but will be graduating in November and then he's off to Naples, Italy for 2 years. Hoping he gets to come home for a visit before heading out! He loves being a Navy corpsman and we couldn't be more proud! Looks like maybe we're trying to get another get together going here? I have no preference where, just let me know when and I'll do all I can to make it! Hugs for now!

I will definately be at the get together! Sorry haven't been on this page often, have been on the Corpsman Moms page quite a bit, Devin took his 4th test today and rocked it! He's holding on with an A average which I hear is real important in deciding where he will go when A school is done. He's doing well but still hating the weather at GL! Poor kid wound up with a respiratory infection but only missed one day of class so he's still on track to grad on April 24th (lucky me, get to go back to GL!) Wouldn't miss is for the world! :0)

Alyse - sounds good to me! Nothing that I know of on my calendar for that day so I'm going to pencil it in, if it changes no problem, I have an eraser! LOL!

Was to Phillipe Park about a year and a half ago - they have pavillions too. Chestnut might be easier for people to find though, and the park is a little more sheltered. Again, up to y'all, all are good choices! :0)

As far as parks vs restaurant, I leave that to y'all, between my krewe stuff and my doxie rescue events I promise to try my best to make it wherever y'all decide!

Oh Micki - I am sooooo envious! I watched the commissioning on TV and that alone brought tears to my eyes! What an incredible thing to have been witness to first hand!

There's a real casual restaurant at the very end of Dodecanese (Ave?) Where the sponge docks are but past all the touristy stuff called "Rusty Bellies" that's pretty roomy and the food is good! And of course there's Anderson Park right off US 19 that has big pavillions but it's hard to count on the weather...
