FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Calling All East Texas Moms (around Tyler and Surrounding Areas)

Just throwing this out there. If you are interested in getting together maybe sometime in September, let me know. I think if we can get a group of maybe at leAst 6 Navy Moms, we could plan a get together. I'm just using Tyler as a starting point, but location could be determined later. It would be fun !

Hi, I live in Kilgore. We have a group that gets together every couple if months. We actually got together last night in Tyler. We have a FB page Navy Moms of East Texas. You have to ask to join then we will approve you. I think FB is easier to communicate.

Hi dragon7. Texarkana is quite a ways from Tyler, but that's great if you want to get together. Is your son or daughter in BC or are they already a sailor?

I am on my way to Tyler!  Bought and house and moving the end of this month.  So, I'm up for meeting some new Navy Mom's!  I'll look for the FB page too.

I live in Round Rock, 13/295 don't know where Tyler is as have been here only a year!!!!!!!

But I am interested my son said he has made Texas buddies!!!!!!!!

East Texas area mom here. Son just left 9/16, this is by far more difficult than I thought and im only a few days in.
