DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hello everyone! I am from Fort Worth. My boyfriend will be graduating BC on Fri. 10/15. He will go through BS tonight! So excited and happy for him. I know he is excited for boot camp to be over!
Hi All, My son, Ryan is currently in Ballston Spa, NY. Will be there until January...brrr! He is a Nuke. Knows more about Nuclear Engineering than I could ever hope to understand. I hope to get to see him then before he heads to his next post. I live in Garland and work in Richardson. Would love to meet some other Navy Moms. I really miss my boy, particularly in the fall with all the sports going on. Best wishes and Blessings to all of you and your awesome sons and daughters!
I'm in Flower Mound! My son is currently in BC with a PIR date of 12/03! :)
Hello everyone! My son Andrew had his PIR 10/15th, we just returned yesterday from a weekend with him. It was awesome! He will be there for A-School for 14 weeks and then.........not sure yet. We live in Weatherford, that is 26 miles west of Ft. Worth. I am still so overwhelmed by the trip and finally seeing him after 8 weeks that I'm kinda lost as to what I need to get started on here at home. Those of you who are going to a PIR in the coming weeks, if I can answer any questions for you, I will be happy too. It is an experience you truly will never forget.
I would LOVE some information...going next Wednesday and staying at the Comfort Inn unless you saw something better. I have a car rented but do I want to take the shuttle? HELP...and what to do while we are there!!!!!
We live in Roanoke, TX near the Speedway. Our son, Brian (MM2) has been in the Navy just over 5 years. He is stationed in San Diego aboard the USS Dubuque that has been out to sea since May.
Texas moms were talking about getting together and troops pies in a jar to send to our troops. Anyone interested in getting together to do this?
The packing party might be closer - we really need to get something going up here! One mass party would be great once a year - but we could find somewhere up here & do packing parties like once a quarter or so......I'm sure we can find somewhere that would donate a room that we could set up in -- I know our church would but I kind of live out in the sticks! But, a hotel might be willing to let us use a room for a few hours/afternoon.
Burleson, TX....Son is still in bootcamp...graduates November 12th
Bootcamp PIR is a wonderful experience. Any questions about that I think I can help. My son is in sub school he says there are a lot of sailors from cailfornia and Texas. Are you all watching those Rangers?
I am in Keller (N of Ft Worth) my daughter has PIR 11.5.10---I am willing to get together for anything to send (pies in a jar) or whatever is in my area.....
