My husband and I found an apartment today! We also did some furniture shopping and found some great deals at Ashley furniture, they offer a 10% military discount!

I think that program is on hold because it was so popular that it ran out of money. We should have a something worthwhile. Here is the discussion that was posted in Feb.

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been on here for a bit. I just started school and I'm trying to get into the routine. I'm taking two online classes and a tuesday night class every week. But I just got my grades for weeks 1 through 3 and I'm doing good. Plus with homework, I have to keep up with my daughter who is seventeen months old now. OMG she is getting so big.

I also have good news about Andrew! He has a follow-up on May 5th. His test results came back and the lymph nodes have gotten smaller. They say he should be cleared very soon! I am so excited for him. It took a lot of stress off both of us.

Well,I haven't been up to much besides school and errands. Most of my free time Jade and I are at the park enjoying the warm weather and walking around. My goal is to lose a few pounds and get active again now that summer is so close! Then after Jades bedtime,I'm at the kitchen table doing homework. Keeping myself really busy is the only way to keep myself distracted from missing Andrew so much. We have skipped a couple weeks of seeing each other because they have him on duty everyday and if not on duty he is in class. So we have both been pretty busy.

Again,I am sorry for not being on lately but I am going to attempt to get on here at least once a day or a few times a week.

Gals, if you are in CA look us (Quiltlady and me) up. We'll feed you. We are in the Santa Clara area. The money thing. The more you make, the more you pay in income tax. Sometimes you don't get much more at the end. Right now you have each other - more precious than anything.

hey alexandra! i totally understand the money thing..i only went to visit my husband once while he was in a school. i got a 350$ flight and took a taxi to base. i stayed on base at the gateway inn for 30$ a night, and my husband and i basically just hung out on the base the entire time i was there. i also found out they had a bus that took military to and from the airport that i could have rode on. but i found out too late!

Hey ladies, Just wanted to say a quick Hello.... I probably wont be on here so much as I would on facebook (ashlie nicole jensen, feel free to add me just tell me who exactly you are haha) I'm currently in and out of the hospital for reason that well nobody can really figure out, but I have facebook on my phone and it's much easier for me to gain access to.

I can't wait to start talking to more of you. :)
