@Nick's Mom    Hi neighbor!   My son is currently in Pensacola - Corry Station waiting to class up.  He just got his security clearance approved, but it seems as though classing up may take a while

Yes Im quite excited about NAVY week being here in Rochester   Ive been trying to find out if there will be a NAVY for Moms table there   I"ld actually like to volunteer some time to help man that table but I keep running into a dead end

How nice it will be for you to have your son so close to you for 6 months!  Im waiting until my son gets to Phase III and I'll plan a trip to Florida

NitaSewBee - I found a website and discussion forum for free ADK camp sites. You may have already seen this, but I thought I'd forward it to you anyway:

AndieMKK. there is supposed to be some up in the  NYS. Forest Preserve. I googled free in NY campgrounds, and that's what it told me. I think hubby  and son would rather  go to Vermont. I did the trek from Great escape to Vermont a few years back. It took us about 2 hrs to get there. Most of the time  when we are in Vermont, We just do the hr trek to Mass, and go to Six Flags New England. We spent our wedding nite  in the  overflow section of LAke George State Park. Trust me, it was fun ... try going  up a bank when you forgot your sneakers and have to wear your hubby's  slippers. Talk about clown feet. All I had with me was my wedding shoes Indian Lake used to be about  5.00 a nite and you didn't need a reservation. I have  no idea what it costs now. But we still have time. The reason we like to go to Vermont is because out trips are usually spur of the moments. I have only been to Fl once in my life. I walked around Epcot and Disney  7mos pregnant with my Seabee.  and my daughter had just turned 1. What is totally ironic is that I was at Cape Canaveral exactly 3mos before the Challenger blew up in the air 78 sec after it launched. When it  blew up, I was in the hospital trying  to have my son. but I didn't have  him til the 31st of Jan '86, the  Challenger blew up  Jan  28th.  You were still living in Fl then. I liked  Cape Canaveral. O have a bunch of seashell from there. I remember  writing  I love you in the sand and taking a picture of it. for my hubby. I  have been looking for that picture for years. Well enough waling down memory lane. Just thought I'd check in. Angie, My  dad's cousin lives outside of Rochester in Victor NY. I rode thru Rochester on the way to GL. everyone have a nice day.

NitaSewBee...Good luck finding a free camping spot this summer. I have some friends who often camp down by Lake George, but haven't heard of any free spots. I'll ask around too and let you know. I'ts been a long winter so the warm weather will be especially sweet. Have been here for 10yrs but haven't been to Great Escape yet. Moved up from FL, so I got spoiled with all the theme parks down there.
