OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Im not afraid or worried lol Im excited I cant wait to start. Ive been training so hard and am so ready for this fear and worry are the furthest things from what my emotions are. I even have dreams of jumping out of the helicopter (maybe a little crazy but, hey its the truth)

My son has graduated RSS and will be leaving next month for FRAC. SAR Spartan, his comments when he talks about how difficult the program is, is always the same..... "There is no room for failure." I've heard of others going in that are afraid and worried......you have to change that line of thought.

I live in brooklyn Ny actually. I hear everyone say is practically all motivation. I have my mind so set on RSS I almost forget I still gotta go thru basic and NACCS.

hey all, Im leaving for boot camp on 7/8 and Im lookin for any other swimmers starting that day to. When Im all done Ill try to keep posting so there'll be somewhat of a record as to what others can be expecting.

Looking forward to C getting to Aschool. Just worried he is homesick. Do not want anything to keep him from being focused. Do you think it will help him to see us at PIR!!! Hoping that will be enough. Although he is to fly out the next morning at 2 a.m. so not much time together. Any advice I really appreciate. Thanks. Steph

Personally, I prefer to stick with rescue swimmers. I tend to think of search and rescue as a duty in addition to one's rate as opposed to aircrew rescue swimmer. Does that make sense? I mean, when someone on a ship trains to be their ship's SAR swimmer but that is secondary to their rate on the ship. And certainly not to take away from that cuz wow that's double time for them. But I think of rescue swimmer as aircrew which is what most of our's are.
