I assume that too Nancy, he is civilian scuba certified. But he was told to forget about what he learned, it is nothing like civilian diving. He will be one of 4-5 divers on the sub. The divers are for checking under the subs when pulling in and out of ports. He has been training for the past few months so he would be picked to go to the school. He said if he doesn't pass the PT there on Monday he is back on the plan to Hawaii. I have confidence that he will do well. But you never know.

Hey Nan, I was thinking about you wondering if Matt left. I know those days are hard when they leave. Glad you had a great time.

I'm back, and trying to catch up on what's going on. Barb sorry to hear about your Dad. It's good that Bob will make it home. Like you said even under the circumstances you will enjoy having him home. Safe travels to you both.

I can't believe Nan hasn't been on here, hmmmm, can't imagine why. LOL!

Nancy how exciting for you, have a wonderful time this weekend. Wish them a long happy marriage from me.

The homecoming was wonderful, it was so exciting sitting there in the wee hours of the morning in the dark waiting to see signs of the LCACs leaving the Boxer. The roared up on the beach, and did what needed to been done to disembark. Then after about and hour they were transported by bus up to the waiting families open arms and cheers. Tara looked very happy and glad to be back, but she said she is ready to go again. I guess I have a real sailor!
We had a great weekend together, her and Aaron had a long conversation on the phone. She will be home for 10 days on Thursday, can't wait for that now.

If I don't hear from him soon I will call him, I'm leaving in the morning for my daughters homecoming in SD. I'll have to tell him to call my cell if I get voice mail.
