Well sounds like things are improving for him. He is in good hands.Probably a visit from Mom will help him tremendously. And a trip to Hawaii will help you to.

Keep us informed.

Lea, just checking in to see if you have heard anything on your son.

I'm hoping no news is good news.

Hi Gail welcome to a little group. Congrats to your son going through the pipeline.
My son Aaron also is an ET and went to prototype in NY. He has been on the Columbia for 3 years. The guys are out now for a little outing.

If you have any questions feel free to ask I'm sure one of us will have a pretty good answer.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time with Bob. What a great airport you have back there.

Aaron's time home was much the same, it went very quick, but we had a wonderful time eating to much and laughing with friends. Tara did not get home, she ended up going to Ohio with the boyfriend. :(

Aaron went out one night with a friend and went snowboarding one day with a another friend. But for the most part he just hung around at home. Which was just wonderful, got as many hugs in as I could.

Hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas.

But now it is time to wish you all..... a Wonderful New Year!!!!

Barb, so glad to hear that Bob is coming home. I know it will make the holidays happy.

It is something to be proud of when they reenlist. Would this be Bob's first reenlistment? Will it be for another 2 years? That is what Aaron did.

I think that with this economy they should reenlist till things get better. My daughter got her PTS approved so she can reenlist in July if she chooses to. As of right now she is thinking she will. I hope she does. Aaron has another 3 years to go.

Lea, I know it's hard not have our kids around for the holidays. It's been 4 years since I have had both my kids home at one time. I usually get one without the other. You never get used to it you just get used to it being different. The best thing to do is plan a trip to Hawaii. :)

Don't forget we are here for you anytime you need to vent.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. I know Aaron has duty.

Yes, I know Aaron has a ball cap like that, but never mentioned how or why he got it. I just thought it was part of the uniform.

Got some exciting news the other day, Aaron is coming home for Christmas!!! I didn't think he would. Now I just have to hope Tara can get home.

This year her and her boy friend are planning to go to Ohio. But they are always last minute with things and I think they are going to be in for a big surprise when they check air fare. I'm secretly hoping, especially now that they decide to not go there, then they will drive home so we can all be together for Christmas. Aaron and Tara have not been home together for Christmas in 4 years. I'm hoping for a Christmas miracle!
